Last updated: 6 October 2026

Lumo Care (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Lumo Care, The Urban Building, 3-9 Albert Street, Slough SL1 2BE. For any privacy question, email info@lumocare.co.uk.

Information we collect

When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry and your message.

When you apply for a job we also collect your town or postcode, the role you are interested in, your care experience, your right-to-work status, whether you drive, any notes you add and your CV if you upload one.

Our website may also record basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working properly.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss care or staffing needs
  • To assess your job application and contact you about suitable roles
  • To keep records needed to run our business and meet legal obligations
  • To keep our website secure

Our lawful basis

We process enquiry information because it is necessary to respond to your request (legitimate interests or steps taken before entering a contract). We process job application information to assess your suitability for employment (steps taken before entering a contract) and, where you tick the consent box, with your consent. If information you provide includes health or other special category data, we will only use it where the law allows.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run our website and email (such as our hosting provider), and where we are required to by law. If you are offered a role, we will carry out the pre-employment checks we tell you about at that stage.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. We keep unsuccessful job applications for up to 6 months, unless you ask us to keep them longer for future roles. Information about clients and staff is kept for as long as needed for care and employment records and legal requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy to be transferred, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and stay secure. If we add analytics or other optional cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
